Hi, my name is Savannah and I love working with children! I am currently studying Spanish Education with a completed minor in Art History. I have worked at a church camp and lived with toddlers before, therefore I understand the joys and hardships of childcare. I speak Spanish at an intermediate level and know a very basic level of sign language, but I would more than happy to expound upon either/both languages. I can't wait to meet your family!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done volunteer childcare related work since I was in high school. I also worked two consecutive years at an overnight summer camp where I was responsible for the care of 10-12 campers. My sister has four lovely children all under the age of 5 that I have spent countless hours babysitting. I lived with her and her children for two years at one point and gained invaluable experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of my favorite activities to do with children are making arts and crafts, going on walks, having dance parties, and reading. I have learned that being goofy and patient are the best ways to bond with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel the most important part about being a nanny is respect. It is crucial that a nanny must have respect for the parent(s) of the children as well as respect for the children they are caring for. Among other things, this encompasses respect of rules, beliefs, and identity.

My experience with special needs children...

When I was in high school, I did volunteer work in Sunday school classes at my church. For two consecutive years I was given the wonderful opportunity of working one on one with a child with Down syndrome.
