The most important part about being a nanny...
I used to have a young boy age 2 at the ymca i watched. He was a mute and did not speak. Well I was working with him on potty training, we went to the bathroom and he didn't want to use it... well I told him we could try again later if he wanted and that he was a big boy and he can decided and let me know when he's ready. As we walk out he grabs my shirt and looks at me and says "potty" ! I smiled and walked him back to the toilet and he got up there and I waited outside, after he came out I High-fived him and he was so smily and proud of himself. I will never forget it.

Hi! I'm looking for occasional babysitting opportunities with a consistent family. Just a bit of background of myself - I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Human Development with an emphasis on early childhood development. After graduating I became a preschool teacher (Ages 2-5) for a year before transitioning into the tech world and I miss working with kids. I am not up to date with my CPR or First Aid but am working towards renewing those certifications. I'm available most week nights and throughout weekends.
