A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Savannah, but I usually go be Vanna! I have been taking care of children for almost a decade now. I have worked multiple jobs from nanny lane and have a ton of recommendations from families. I also have experience with almost all age groups. I don’t mind doing some house work on the side as well, although my duties as a nanny (i.e. taking care of people) take priority of course. I am currently a full time student but I have arranged my schedule so that I am only busy on Tuesday and Thursday. I am available at all other times except for major holidays like Christmas! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was caretaker at my Sunday school for four years. I took care of a family of five for about three years simultaneously.
My most recent experience is taking care of a family of three, which I have been doing for almost a year now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on walks. The child I took care of previously was very outdoorsy so we spent a lot of time playing with chalk and finding interesting rocks. Finger painting is always a super fun activity! I also enjoy educational play as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Patience and devotion. They are learning and growing, they just need a guiding hand. Unfortunately, some parents, although entirely in love with their children, don’t have the time to meticulously teach their child the basic of growing up or shower them with love. I am here to be an extension of the parent. To teach their kids everything they think they should know and to provide love and understanding while doing so.

My experience with special needs children...

Although my experience with special needs children is not immense I do have a little sister with autism. I have taken care of her for days at a time. All children require different things in a caregiver and I am willing do adapt to whatever they may need! At the very least I can always offer patience!

The most important part about being a nanny...

This is such a hard question! Every moment I spend with any of the kids I’ve taken care is special! The love and attention I can provide these people with is the reason I follow this career path. I guess my favorite moment(s) is when a child finally sees you as one of their friends!
