Before becoming a nanny, I worked with children of all ages in other capacities. My introduction to working with children was right after I graduated from college during an internship in the children's wing of the Milwaukee Public Museum. Years later, my best friend and I created a Music and Movement for Preschoolers class that we brought to several preschools in the Madison, Wisconsin area. After our class had run its course through the preschools, I served as a childcare teacher for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, an after school program specialist for school-aged kids and a temporary nanny for families in need of short-term in-home child care.

Some activities I love doing with children are reading, exploring outdoors, singing and dancing.
It's fun to sometimes take them to a new place or take out a new material for them to explore, and follow their lead, talking with them about their ideas and what they're experiencing. Children are so open and imaginative, I learn just as much from them as I like to think they learn from me.
