During my time in high school, I spent most of my summer days working at athletic summer camps. I worked with kids between the ages of 7-13 and loved every minute of working with them!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite summertime activities to share with children I care for usually involves being outside. Whether that is going to a community pool, playing sports outside, riding bikes, getting little treats, or even fun board games in the house if it is too cold or happens to rain. I grew up with an older brother which exposed me to the video game world so, although I can be quite feminine, I can also put up a good fight in the video game scene if that is something a child likes to do!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment is when the children begin fully trusting you. It takes some children longer than others to become comfortable with a new person in their lives and it is nice to give them their needed space. However, the most precious moment, to me, is when a child becomes excited to spend time with me or begins reaching out to me from a place of trust and assurance!
