A little bit about me

Hello, I am Serenity! I’m the oldest of 3 and the oldest cousin as well. I’ve been taking care of kids since I could remember. Not only have I token care of other peoples kids I also for about my whole life was taking care of my own families children. My two little cousins have autism as well and I’ve watched them more than 20 times so I do have experience with that as well. I try to make things fun and simple. I also have a lot of experience cleaning as well being the oldest I usually would clean up after my siblings and cousins majority of the time. Working with children is something I’ve always been called to especially with wanting to be a child therapist I feel like working with children now would kind of help me see how I am before I further my career with therapy or if I want to become a teacher instead. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve done some volunteer work when I was in high school I would help out the special needs kids class. I would do art projects with them and play games with them. Help them learn other things as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities
Girls: dress up, play house, pretend cooking, etc
Boys: race cars, legos, action figures etc.
Both: dance off, coloring, board games, etc.

Outdoor activities
Backyard wise: hide and seek, tag, freeze tag, jumprope, duck duck goose, etc.
park wise: would let them play at park with my supervisor this would be a time where I wasn’t participating in playing with them as much just because it is a public area and I would have my attention to watching them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for autism children which are my little cousins, but In high school I volunteered as a helper with the special needs kids so that’s a plus also
