Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My first job out of high school was at a day care facility. I was with the pre-k. I drove the bus to get them to school...and took them on their field trips. I also did their lessons with them daily. Nothing compares to the experience of having raised your own three children. A lot of responsibility,patience,time,commitment,& above all...a whole lot of love...
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to sing with them(alphabet,toddler tunes,nursery rhymes,etc...) Painting, drawing, coloring all fun stuff. I let them show me what they want to do and go from there, while teaching at the same time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I feel it"s important that the children feel comfortable. If it"s time to eat, play, nap, homework, etc. I feel it"s important that the children are WILLING to do any of these things without a struggle...that means they RESPECT you....If they RESPECT they will LISTEN & LEARN...

It's a;ways the sweetest, or the most special moment when the CHILD is the one to come to you.(when I show up or when they recognize me) Rather it be that first HUG..the first WORD...the first time they SMILE when they hear you...the first time to FEEL like you are a part of the FAMILY...When the CHILD feels so comfortable that they come to you before you go to them.....when they are excited to see you, or happy to see you...that means I have done my JOB....
