I have a lifetime worth of experience being a caretaker. I've been caring for children and people of all age since I was just 8 years old.I started as the babysitter for neighbors two children on occasion. I've cared for multiple hospice patients and volunteered alongside my mother, who was geriatric nurse at nursing homes, when I had extra time. I care for the aging and elderly who you sometimes need a little extra patience and understanding with just like children do. I care for any animal that comes across my path and have been involved somehow n the rescue of over 5000 dogs. I don't know how to not be the caretaker of everything and everyone. Most recently I cared for two mostly nonverbal autistic children, one age three, and one age four at the same time I was helping manage the schedule of an 85 year old who needed help with basic task.re I wasn't the caretaker, because if I'm not taking care of something, I go find something to take care of. I have a lot of love to give.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
How's you just about anything with the kids, we can have silly string fight or build an indoor obstacle course, to art or science projects paint rocks. One thing I like to do with my children is each of them takes the bag and we walk the neighborhood and whoever can pick up the most trash wins. It's a good way to teach them service work in their neighborhood and that we should all do our part. I also enjoy going to the park or an age appropriate play place.
