I was a summer camp counselor for 7 yrs.
I was an elementary teacher for 7 years and a school counselor for 12 years. As a counselor I worked with all grade levels, pre-k - 12th grade.
I helped a lot to take care of my youngest nephew, and did respite foster care for my brother and sister-in-law when they were foster parents.

I enjoy doing art activities, playing games, doing fun educational activities, playing outside, singing and making music, and taking kids to visit new places when possible that are age appropriate. I can help school age kids with homework or tutoring in subjects they need help with.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe with being a nanny it is important that I do my best help my charges build good character and make smart choices. I believe in the positive/ gentle parenting approach to nannying and helping kid understand their emotions and how to be able to interact with other in a positive manner.

I have experience with various levels/types of special needs as a teacher and school counselor, and in some of the special programs we did at summer camp. I also have experience working with special needs kids in foster care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It’s impossible to pick one favorite moment as there are so many special memories with every child I have cared for. One of the things I really loved, and that pulled at my heart, was when the kids came running to see and hug when as soon as I got to the house and how there were a few different ones who cried or were upset when I left, as they wanted me to stay longer.
