"We adore Shannon and cannot recommend her highly enough. She has been a foundational part of our family's life, caring for both our 4-year-old and our (almost toddler!) baby with so much warmth, patience, and genuine love.
What stands out most about Shannon is how naturally she connects with kids of different ages. She can juggle a preschooler and an infant, which is no small feat, but she does it seamlessly, keeping our 4-year-old engaged with creative play, art, and learning activities, while also being incredibly attentive and nurturing with the baby. Both of our children light up the moment she walks through the door.
Shannon is reliable, communicative, and proactive. She keeps us updated throughout the day, handles routines (naps, meals, transitions) with confidence, and takes initiative .
Beyond her skills, Shannon is just a kind, trustworthy, and joyful person. We trust her completely with our kids, and they absolutely adore her. Any family would be lucky to have her."

"She was kind and knowledgable of my two childrens needs, at the age of 2 and 4 it can be hard to deal with at times but it seems like she genuinely loves being around children and helping them grow. She is very interactive and explains manners in an understandable way for young minds. Playing and entertaining is one thing but she went above and beyond with understanding and teaching composure"

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I specialize in "learning through play" and "stealth education." My favorite activities include:
Creative STEM: Facilitating math games, science experiments, and crafts like bird feeder building or rock painting.
Visual Music Theory: I teach notes and duration using a color-and-size-coded system to make complex concepts accessible and fun.
Active Play: Engaging gross motor skills through classic games like tag and Ring-around-the-Rosie.
Independence Building: I prefer to instruct and guide children through tasks rather than doing them for them, building their confidence and life skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of this role is teaching without the child even realizing it. I strive to make learning fun and turn daily chores into engaging games. By answering every "why" in a kid-friendly way and maintaining a balanced, assertive environment, I ensure the children are not only happy and safe but also constantly growing and becoming more independent.
My experience with special needs children...
I have provided individualized, compassionate care for children with various needs at different stages of my career. This includes specific experience babysitting children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and those who are partially deaf. I am comfortable adapting my communication and care methods to meet the unique requirements of every child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly, it feels like I have a new favorite moment every day. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s face light up with a "lightbulb moment" when they master a new skill or finally understand a "why" they’ve been curious about. Being a part of those daily developmental milestones is what makes this career so fulfilling for me.
