A little bit about me

I am a school counselor of 10 years, and have been working with school systems for over 10 years as well. I have experience working with infants all the way up through high school/college age. I have worked in all K-12 settings, as well as with children with special needs and autism. I currently work with middle school age children, grades 6-8, and work individually, in small groups, and full classrooms. I hold a Bachelors degree in Education, as well as a Masters degree in counseling from East Carolina University. I am very passionate in working with kids, it brings joy to me on a daily basis. Whether the child is having a great day or a challenging one, I am there to help provide support, love, compassion, understanding, and the proper guidance necessary for he/she to continue to grow and develop into a successful young adult. My heart is always in my work. I have three children of my own and love them with all of my heart!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Spending time with children, learning about each of them, and especially working together to have fun and learn new things each and every day! I love going on adventures (real and imaginary), and I love laughing! Smiling is something we all need to do more of, so I do make sure that my kids can smile as much as they can! I enjoy providing routine and structure. Children thrive when these things are implemented (though it does vary dependent upon the child). Each child is different, but I love each and every one I have worked with!
