Hello my name is Shannon or as the kiddos call me Miss Shannon! :-) My family and I moved here for my hubby’s job. I ran an in home daycare for 8 years and worked at a Montessori school for 4 years before that. I have a 9 year old daughter that I spend my days with reading, going to the park and baking treats. I love working with children, my daughter and I both miss having more kiddos around to play with. I have over 12 years of experience working with children from 3 months old to 6 years old. Every child is different and when working with children you must completely understand that there isn’t just one way to care for a child. They learn and feel and understand differently so it’s most important to get to know the children and their personalities. That way when you show them kindness it’s what they see, when you teach them something they understand and when learn how to express their emotions it’s done in a healthy way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have worked with so many kiddos that I couldn’t choose just one memory. My favorite memories with most of my kiddos though, are snuggle time reading books and hearing them add their spin to the stories, the random and hilarious thoughts they have about different things and our dance parties naming their crazy moves!
