More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked for Little Eagles Daycare and Preschool located in Jefferson Wisconsin. I was employed there for a little over six months. I worked with all ages, and loved all the kids.
Before my employment at Little Eagles, I was a tutor at West Elementary school located in Jefferson. I tutored Kindergarten through second grade. I worked with them on lessons, homework and any gross motor or fine motor activity’s.
In my Senior year of highschool, I attended an Introduction to Child Care Services with my Home Economics teacher. The course was about taking care of preschool aged children and learning how to care for them and make your own lesson plans. Gross motor activity’s and fine motor development was a big topic covered.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love doing sensory bins and sensory activities. I started a binder full of sensory ideas and workshops back at my daycare job! They are so fun I actually enjoy doing them myself :)
The age range for my binder is from age 3-7 or even older. My main focus was to find activities for gross motor development, fine motor development, hand eye coordination and much more.
The activities include Seasons. Spring, summer, fall, winter. I personal favorites are summer and fall. There are so much things you can do In those Seasons that do not include staying inside!
Crafts are another one of my favorites because almost every single time I get a piece of art work back :)

The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a caregiver includes taking kids that are not yours in as your own. You get to know each individual and how they operate. Everyone is different and it’s so important to document how they learn different! One on one time with a student/child really helps earn that trust and healthy attachment that is needed for growth and learning. All these points are important for proper growth in early childhood.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not had much experience with special needs children. I did tutor one child with special needs in highschool and absolutely loved it. I helped the child in gym class to navigate him to the course, help him with reading, math and other homework.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was a teacher, I had a classroom full of 4,5,6 year olds! I had 24 of them also. They all just loved to be sassy and sneaky in the morning by hiding behind chairs, pulling pranks on me and asking me the most random questions ever! I had the most fun with them and miss it everyday.
