More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a girl scout leader for 7 years and retired when I moved. Loved it. Had the girls from Daisies to Cadets. We did all sorts of activites and helping people. Go to nursing homes and do activites with the residents. We did that yearly throughout the holidays and keeping a smile on there faces. . I worked in a childcare center through a church caring for infants and toddlers. Doing activites, meal prep, naps, diaper changing. Getting kids ready for when its time to go home. Daily activites. Checking in kids and seeing there charts . If any allergies and have all parents info for emergency contacts as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Being an artist I love to do arts amd crafts with them. I have all sorts I can teach and supply, depending on age age. Love to color, play games, read books. Teach life skills. Go on nature walks and teach them about animals as well. I'm a very creative person. Kids love me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure your child is safe, having fun, eating healthy. Everyday is an adventure of learning something new. Show them to love, dance and be themselves. Always have fun. Theyre only a child for short time and grow so fast. Show them music, books, old movies. Fill them with knowledge. They thank us later in life for it. I make it a lot of fun.
My experience with special needs children...
Ive had special care with kids that are autistic, parents just give me directions on how to care and go from there. Had another kid who had to go through eye patches and help correct his eyes. I followed parents directions as they asked to help keep up with childs eye care. Great with kids. I usually make it be fun way when it comes to something a kid may hate so that they keep up with what they need to do.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Favorite moments would be when kids learn to walk or talk first time. As they become toddlers, they say most funniest things. Eating times and conversations are fun. Game times depending on what it is, asking questions and seeing what your child says. Its fun. Everyday is always something new.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Powell, OH: Mari M.
Over the past 20 years I have had the privilege of caring for newborns through teenagers. I like creating a routine that agrees with babies/children while allowing for the structural familiarity that adds to the security they feel knowing "what comes next" as each day moves along. Patience and a sense of humor go hand in hand as key qualities I focus on to grab hold of special moments for learning or connecting.
I enjoy exploring the outdoors and the zoo with children.
I squeeze in reading throughout the day, whether at the library, story times or at home.
I am hoping for a long term role that is a great fit for the family and myself.
