A little bit about me

My name is Sharon Bormann. I live in Charles City with my dog. I had 2 children and one passed at age 24. I have a daughter that is 33 and has blessed me with a grandson almost 4 yr old, and a granddaughter that is 15 months old.

I did babysitting in my home for 5 yrs. I was a foster mother for 5 yrs for kids 6 months- 7 yrs old.

I worked with several mental, physically, and emotionally adults for 12 years.

My last care of children was for the Foster Grandparent program in Charles City for 5 yrs. I worked with 3yr-11yr olds during that time.

I loved being a caregiver to them all. There was a big diversity of ages such as learning disorders, autism, mental or emotional disorders, trust, sexual abuse, and physical abuse.

I loved the challenge of gaining trust and relationships.

Being a grandma has brought back that love for the little ones and all their firsts. Each child at their own stages.
