I am a former elementary school teacher with experience in special education. I have run an in-home daycare where I cared primarily for children birth to 2 years. I have also been a nanny to a family with 3 children under 3 yrs and a family with a newborn and 5 yr old whom I also homeschooled.
I am a loving and creative nanny who believes in keeping children engaged in active and creative play as well as educational activities and sports. I prefer that children stay away from television and video games but that is ultimately up to the parents.

I prefer to engage children in creative play, crafts, outdoor play, sports, educational activities. Trips to museums, farms one other interesting places are always fun as well.

Lovingly engaging with children in activities they are interested in while expanding their horizons as well. I also believe children should always be learning and building self confidence, honesty and character.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a special education teacher for 2 yrs in a mild/moderate classroom. I have experience with children with learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and emotionally disturbed children.
