The most important part about being a nanny...
The impression you leave on the kids.
I definitely believe that the person you are, no matter gender, race, or age always leaves an impression, or mark on the children, or in the children's minds. Meaning the words you use around them and the things you do. children are sponges, and as fast as a sponge will soak up water, a child will pickup something you do or say. Always be aware of who Is around you, and always think of the child's feelings and or things you could be subjecting them to.
Another thing of Importance with nannying, would have to be making sure that you don't let the kids do ANYTHING that the parents wouldn't. I've had experience with thus and it never turns out well. it's important to set the same rules, times, and etc that the parents would as well. if not, then the children will (A) Not listen to the parents, come time for the parents to come home or (B) Not listen to you because their good kids who go by only their parents' rules or (C) you will lose your job

The most important part about being a nanny...
one of my favorite nanny moments is probably back in 2013 when I was moving back home from Tennessee and the kids I used to babysit for all wrote me letters telling me how I made their lives better, and brought me out of their shells and all put together a song they wrote with a dance and everything to go with it. it Def. had to be one of the most thoughtful, sweetest things children have ever done for me. it was bittersweet. I Def. didn't want to leave them, but I had to. . just one of those things. I actually still to this day talk to the kids, and see them on occasion.

I have many experiences with babysitting but few with being a nanny due to being younger. I have cared for a variety of ages so by now I'm comfortable with any. I am going to get my CPR certificate very soon as well my first-aid certificate. Although I'm not certified I still know how to perform CPR and basic first-aid procedures. If you're wanting any references just let me know and I'll be glad to send you them. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and experience with being a nanny.
