A little bit about me

My name is Mrs Marshall. I have been a nanny for the last few years. I am a retired preschool teacher. I am trained and certified in Montessori Theory and curriculum. I started teaching when I was about 18 to my early 30s did substitution at a Montessori Preschool help set up a few schools during the summer I would nanny for some of the families at my school. I recently am in the process of finding a new family my current family after this year unfortunately have to move back to another state. Looking forward to find a great family that I can help grow with and stay with long-term I'm looking for part-time if you need four days a week if you need full time 5 days a week that's fine as well. My usual hours are 9:00 to 4 9 to 5 3 to 4 days a week. I charge a little bit more based on my education experience certifications.

I was a Montessori preschool teacher for over 10 years. I've worked at 4 different Montessori schools.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My specialty is creating a structured environment for your child or children using my training from Montessori teaching and education I set up an environment where they can thrive in their playroom outside we engage activities based on things you have at home or things that we can get that interest your child. I love to do arts and crafts with the children daily reading and when the weather allows it's fun to go on adventures weather it's a peace walk or a nature walk. I love to bake with the children and or do fun drawings and painting projects.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is providing a safe environment and allowing that child to know that they can have fun experience new things and learn with an individual that they know well protect them and have fun with.

My experience with special needs children...

Through my many years of teaching I have worked with a lot of children that do have special needs and or on the spectrum. Children that have sensory processing disorder or children that have Asperger's high functioning autism mental retardation and or an undiagnosed type of disability that we've had to Encompass in the classroom or at a at home child care facility. Where myself other teachers and or a teacher aide would assist that child throughout the day based on what their personal goals and needs were based on their personal disabilities or challenges that we would all work together as a team set some goals so that that child could reach its highest potential

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most of my favorite Nanny moments are when I see a child Master a work or find something that they are really excited about and they engage in it. And they do it over and over again. The most gratifying thing about being a child care provider and teacher is seeing a child's mind blossom and grow and when they find that special thing that makes them happy it's a real joy to be able to witness that on a daily basis
