More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a nanny for a family of 2, the youngest was 9mnths when I started and the oldest was 3yrs and autistic. I prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner. I did light housekeeping, including laundry, I prepared the children for bed, giving them baths and a story before sleeping. During the day we went on walks and did other activities inside. I also dropped off and picked them up from school. I occasionally stayed for weekends so the parents could take trips.
I also Nannie’s for a family with one child and basically performed the same duties. The baby was not old enough for school, so no drop off or pickups.
I also Nannied for a family with three girls, an infant, 2yr old and 7yr old. I did everything for their family because the mother had MS.

I frequently babysit for my pastor, he has 8 children, the youngest is 6 and the oldest is 19. I have babysat in my home, in their home and I’ve kept them overnight. I prepare meals, do light housekeeping and activities throughout the day.

Walking, reading, creating productive indoor games and sports activities.

Letting babies be who they are. Never forcing myself on them and letting them warm up to me. I believe babies have something internally that lets them know if you love them. If you truly love them and what you do, the babies will know that.

I worked with an autistic child for several years.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I nannied for a 9 month old baby girl. I loved hats an wore them quite often. When she was in my arms she always took my hat off and put it on! I loved it! I also really enjoyed story time and singing songs before bedtime!
