Hello! My name is Shelby and I would love to work for your family! I recently graduated from Texas State University, and I love taking care of children. I'm looking for a way to expand my work experience while also giving you the peace of mind that your family is in safe hands. I do not smoke/vape, and I have experience with cooking for children and housework/laundry. Most of my experience consists of short term positions caring for younger children, so I am used to wrangling little ones and changing diapers. I can also assist with homework help for older children, and I am actively learning Spanish. I am fully vaccinated, and willing to provide a negative covid test upon request.

I am looking for a position for the next month or two, seeing as I am moving across the country in early March.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing art projects with kids. I’m very much an anti-screens caregiver. I much prefer children to be actively playing with something physical or doing something physical versus sitting in front of a screen. I believe educational screen time has its benefits, but my goal is to have kids off the screens 90% of the time. Overall, I try to follow what their preferences are, but art projects like Play-Doh or painting are always big hits. I also like getting kids outside to blow off steam and run around!
