Learning- if it’s a baby or toddler I focus on what milestones are within reach. Older children I like to see what they gravitate towards but art projects have always been my favorite as well as enriching their imaginations with make believe. Reading is a base part of care as well as hands on learning and playing outside or at parks.

Children need love undivided attention which can be difficult for parents to provide while also providing for their families. My job is to enrich their lives and allow their parents to not worry while they are not with them.

My autistic 3 year old and I were on a walk and we found a random cheerio on the sidewalk… for some reason it made him laugh and we had to go back and look at it no less than 5 times! Got my steps in for that day and he still a year later will say “hey shayshay look cheerio” and start cackling.
