A little bit about me

Hi my name is Shidaya Sierra Powell, I’m currently in school right now to peruse my dreams in child care and development!
A nanny role/ babysister is a great fit for me because I am VERY paitent full of energy, I love to play and read, I have lots of experience with kids from working in Daycares (volunteered work). And from actually being left alone with kids for days at a time and I loved it they keep me on my toes !

If you have pets also that need to be taken care of that wouldn’t be a problem at all I am very pet friendly and won’t ask for any additional pay being so I love pets so it’s like a plus for me !

When it comes to finding someone patient and reliable and needing extra help around the house (laundry, cleaning, cooking) I am the right person to call, I also will help children with schoolwork/ project, and whatever else the parents or child may need my help with.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading for one that’s my favorite! Another game I love playing that’s for outdoors is maybe tag or hide and seek children love those games and are always asking me to play ! And plus again it keeps me on my toes ! I’ll really play any games long as it’s safe and doesn’t require leaving their front or back yard !

The most important part about being a nanny...

Seeing growth and making children comfortable with being around you and feel safe, when the kid your a watching over sees you or hear you are coming they get happy to see you and be around you ! The most important part is to make sure these children are safe and fed and happy that’s a CRUCIAL thing for me !

My experience with special needs children...

Yes I have GREAT experience with special needs children but the children I worked with have been more on the quieter and stay their own corner kind of children! But I can work with needy/ clingy or even talkative or non-verbal children ! I really can do alot when it comes to children!

The most important part about being a nanny...

A moment for me that was great when i actually seen progress in what In what I was teaching some of the kids, that made me feel like I was actually making a difference In a child’s life !
