Hello parents! As a career nanny of 8+ years I am consistently humbled and honored to be a part of the process in caring for the most important part of your lives. I understand just how meaningful finding and entrusting the right person is to you and your family, therefore I take my role as a nanny with great honor, respect, and responsibility. Facilitating the curious minds of little ones through nature, exploration, and creativity - and witnessing the growth and development of children through such - brings me the greatest joy and purpose.
On my spare time I am typically enjoying some sort of physical activity such as (but not limited to) rock climbing, tennis, swimming, salsa dancing, hiking, pilates, etc., working on a creative endeavor most likely on my sewing machine, or spending time with my family (especially my 95y/o grandmother & my nephews 10mo and 3 y/o).

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As an alumni of Santa Barbara Middle School, I often join school biking trips as a trip staff member whenever possible. While the dynamics of 15+ middle schoolers per biking group differs drastically, my experience working for families of 3-4 children has well equipped me to mange the multitasking involved on these trips.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do just about everything with children whether it be reading books, crafting projects, painting, baking, playing pretend, goofy dancing, etc., however my ALL TIME favorite activities stem from our collective imagination when we are outside. Outdoor accessibility is therefore very important to my nannying approach.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being absolutely present with the children. I am also a firm believer that children understand and pick up on far more than we give them credit for and deserve reciprocal respect, attention, and care. Another very important aspect of this job for me is making sure we (parent and nanny) are in alignment with your desired learning philosophies, discipline approaches, family pillars etc. and that we have open and clear communication from the start. This way you can feel confident knowing that your children are not only in loving hands but are being supported through care that reflects your family.
