I was a tutor and babysitter for number of different kids and families, and I currently manage my mother and I's in-home daycare and provide kids with care in our daycare as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love painting, drawing, gardening, doing DIY crafts or projects, baking/painting, and reading with kids. Some outdoor activities that I like doing with kids are playing classic games like freeze tag, stick in the mud, and Mr. Wolf amongst others! I also love playing frisbee, basketball, and soccer with kids as well!
The most important part about being a nanny...
is listening to and caring about the child/childrens' needs. Every child has different interests and needs, and it is important to recognize and acknowledge this. Additionally, it is important to establish good communication with the childs' parents to make sure that you are all there to support the child/children to the very best of all of your abilities, without any hiccups.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think my favorite nanny moments consisted of tutoring the kids that I would be providing care for, and seeing certain information click for them. It would sometimes be the most basic of things, such as a child mastering their alphabet after practicing how to do so a number of times. Nothing makes me more proud of them and of my efforts!:)
