A little bit about me

Hello my name is Siarah! I am a Christian and I am passionate about showing Jesus’ love to parents and children in my local community. I have worked as a childcare provider for over a year at two locations where my responsibilities varied from caring for the tiniest infants to energetic pre-teens. I’m looking to connect with families who are in need of some outside care and support. Aside from being fluent in English I speak conversational French and Russian, and a bit of Spanish. I am also an actress, have done ballet, and I am an artist, and just very creative in general. I am also very passionate and knowledgeable about geology, especially minerals, as well as other sciences. I love teaching kids things that I know and encouraging them to follow their dreams.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as an after school teacher at Up a Creek Madison, where I picked up kids from school and brought them back to either a park or the UAC location to meet up with the other teachers and students. The kids there ranged in age from pre-k to 5th grade. I also worked at the Kids Club childcare at Phaze 3 Fitness Madison, where I cared for kids ages 6 weeks to 11 years old (with the occasional 12 or 13 y/o). I also have experience volunteering in children’s ministry at Sunday school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Drawing, crafts, beading(if age-appropriate), storytelling, Bible reading, puppet shows, make-believe play, dance lessons, singing, music, acting, and just having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Ensuring the kids feel safe and comfortable and forming a connection with them, talking about things from their point of view rather than an adult’s perspective, and being a positive influence in their lives that helps them thrive as they grow up.

I have worked with several children on the autistic spectrum over the course of my time in childcare.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Any time a kid would make a drawing or card for me, or pick flowers and acorns for me at the playground. I still keep those little treasures ! My heart melted every time.
