"Sierra has watched both of my daughters (youngest around 8 years old) on and off and has been the most reliable and responsible babysitter I’ve ever had. We are really particular with who we allow to drive our kids around, so having someone as wonderful and trustworthy as Sierra has made us feel extremely at ease. She is so good with kids with big emotions and listening to their thoughts and helping come up with ways to console them (with girls, they have big feelings).
Sierra is more than a sitter for us. She fits in with our family like an older cousin to my girls. That’s how much we have come to trust and welcome her into our lives.
She is also great with our cats.
Kids of all ages love her (my oldest is now 15 and thinks of Sierra like an older sister/cousin). There is truly nobody like her and anyone would be lucky to have her watch their children as we have been over the years."

More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I believe that kids should be kids, which means the activities they take part in should appropriately reflect that. Outside playtime is always encouraged: chalk, tag, jump rope, making up our own games, going to the park, lemonade stands, etc! For inside time: reading together, baking, card games, arts/crafts, dance parties, you name it! Whatever we end up doing, I’m just as involved as the kids :) I like to promote new experiences and have a mix of enjoyable, yet educational activities.
My experience with special needs children...
I participated in Best Buddies all throughout High School, where I learned a lot from the special education teachers/students. I have also had students of different abilities/needs in my classes in school as well as theater spaces outside of school.
The most important part about being a nanny...
While babysitting in high school, I suggested holding a lemonade stand to hopefully cheer up a little girl after she expressed that she had been having a hard day. I was able to get giggles out of her throughout the process, her mood was boosted by the end, we learned money management, and her parents told me it was her first lemonade stand, so we also got to create a core memory together for her!
