Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
lots of volunteer work with children in many different countries and even in our own hometown. All my friends have children so its just normal to have them around, its more fun that way!

playing outside, reading, cooking/baking, building things, girly things, movies, art, outdoor sports that are age appropriate, walks, games etc..
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think being a Nanny is such a wonderful experience having been that for a handful of families that have become like a second family and creating bonds with them that bring such joy to your heart knowing you had a small, small hand in watching and helping a young baby or child grow up and take on the world and hopefully you'll not only be in their happy memories too, but have given them useful skill or knowledge
My experience with special needs children...
spent some time with a 5 year old girl with down syndrome helping the family out while they moved, of course she was the sweetest and well behaved kid ive seen in a long time anyways, thanks to her parents, but it was a treat to be her friend
The most important part about being a nanny...
Way Too Many to recount! so many fun, silly things packed into my memories with kids but the greatest memories have been watching most of these kids grow up and then go from babysitting and taking care of them to being their friend and attending their weddings and big accomplishments and knowing that i'll know them forever
