Howdy! I have my own vehicle, am a non-smoker, and do not drink alcohol. I have a BS in Psychology and a love of helping children learn. I am organized, punctual, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a help meet for you! I'm dedicated to playing, teaching, and looking after children and even plan on being an Au Pair in France come January of 2024.

I am able and willing to do light housework, assist with meal prep, homework, and help with taking care of beloved pets, too- I thrive off having a list of things to do! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have spent several years taking care of children ranging in ages 4-12 as a babysitter (1 girl 4yrs-7yrs) for a single working mother as well as a volunteer (1 girl yr 6-7 & 3 boys yrs 8-9 & 11-12 for remaining boys) for my elderly grandparents.

I have experience waking up children, having them brush their teeth, take their medicine (for ADHD), administer basic first aid for scrapes, cooking for them, ensuring they do their chores, playing with them, driving them to school, and putting them to bed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing board games with children, reading children's books to them and encouraging them to read aloud to me, playing appropriate video games together, playing pretend games outside, going for walks with them, researching their favorite school topics to encourage them to want to learn more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me, besides the safety of the child, is that the child truly enjoys my company and is able to benefit from my presence as much as the parent(s).

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for three boys (9yrs,12 yrs, 12 yrs) who all have attention deficit hyper disorder (ADHD)and a boy (12 yrs) who is on the autistic spectrum as well as having ADHD. I have helped soothe him during emotional crying meltdowns and eased him to relax and emotionally self-regulate afterwards. I have ensured that these children take their medicine that is for helping them self-regulate.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A sweet moment I've had is when I played bingo with two children and during our clean up stage, I had the children place the bingo coins into the ziplock plastic bag. During this, I pretended the open plastic bag was a mouth and proceeded to earn many giggles from the children as I playfully "gobbled up" the coins they "fed" the bag and challenged them to quickly put the coins in the bag lest the bag "ate" their hands. It was really sweet to see the children enjoy the goofy moment while they cleaned up after themselves!
