More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In my professional experience as a nanny, I have also cared for children in other meaningful settings. During my university studies in Elementary Education, I spent time assisting in classrooms and supporting young children’s learning and behavior in group environments. I’ve also helped family members and friends by caring for their children, providing support during special occasions or when extra help was needed. These experiences taught me how to connect with children of different ages, adapt to various routines, and handle diverse situations with patience, responsibility, and care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I truly enjoy spending quality time with children through a variety of engaging and nurturing activities. I love reading interactive books, singing songs, and doing creative crafts with them. I enjoy taking them to the park, visiting libraries and museums, and encouraging their curiosity through fun and educational games. I also like cooking simple, safe recipes together, exploring nature, painting, drawing, and organizing sensory or movement-based activities like kids’ yoga. I’m passionate about teaching them new words in English or Spanish, depending on their age, and helping them build routines that support their development in a warm and caring environment.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and stable environment where a child feels secure and supported. Beyond just daily care, it’s about building a relationship based on trust, respect, and genuine affection not only with the child but also with the family. Being consistent, attentive, and nurturing allows children to thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally. As a nanny, I know I’m not just helping with routines I’m helping shape meaningful moments in a child’s early life.
My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a 4 year old child with autism for one year, focusing on creating a calm and structured environment. I used simple routines, clear communication, and positive reinforcement to support his development. This experience strengthened my patience, flexibility, and passion for working with children with special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was seeing the bond I built with a baby I cared for over several months. Watching their growth day by day, hearing their first words, and seeing them run to me with a big smile made me feel deeply connected and appreciated. It reminded me how special this job is being part of a child’s early development and offering them love, safety, and joy is truly a gift. These little moments of trust and affection are what make this work so meaningful to me.
