A little bit about me

My name is Sky. Im 20 years old. I am fun, energetic, and willing. I am a college student majoring in elementary education. I have an overwhelming passion for education in youth and I cannot wait to fulfill that within the next couple years.

In order to be a teacher, loving kids is a must, which is why I love nannying so much. I have nannied for as long as I can remember, however I have been a paid nanny for about 4 years now. I have had two longer term jobs and several short term ones. I have worked with all ages of kids and am comfortable with all.

I am first aid and CPR certified, I also have my CNA license as well. I have kept other jobs such as waitressing (for three years), front desk (for seven months), and daycare (for one year).

I am capable and willing to help with homework, arts/crafts, games/activities, sports, meal prep, cleaning, etc. I do have experience tutoring and leading online school.

Nannying is important to me because having someone there in the home who you know is there to help you, look after you, and care for you, is so crucial to a child's emotional development. When parents are not in a career or situation that allows them to be home a lot of the time, it can be damaging to the children in the home to be left alone.

I have worked with children with ADHD, Asthma, Aspergers, and Autism on varying levels.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I nannied for a family with a toddler and a newborn and I was there when they brought their newborn home from the hospital. Their toddler looks at me with a face of disgust and tells me "It's too bad you have to deal with two of us now". The parents I busted out laughing, it was too funny.
