A little bit about me

I am a career nanny. I believe strongly in Child-led learning environments. I do this by tailoring specific milestones, challenges, and conditions to each child to help development and growth. I have work with infants up to the ages of 13. I bring in a mixture of arts, culture, cooking, problem solving and mechanical activities for each age range. I believe that children learn best when they are encouraged to try things themselves, with the support there when needed. I believe this instills self-confidence, natural boundaries, consequences and the communication skills needed for life, as well as a knowledge that asking for help is okay. I design each activity to stimulate multiple developmental sections at a time. I try to involve children in everyday activities like cooking, to develop early learning of life skills, exploration of new foods, and cultures. I believe that children who are excited, encouraged, and able to self-explore while learning are the children who flourish later.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have working experience in Germany, London, Cuba, and America. I have been formally educated in Montessori Method for German standards, child led learning, and family first home education. I have traveled internationally with high network families.. I have experience doing gardening, farming and baking to prepare all the baby foods, breads, and essential foods. I do meal shops, clothing shopping, and formal appointments for children. I have experience building curriculums for schools, fostering relationships between families and the system. I partner my nanny career with the food service industry, as serving and communicating with others is a passion.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do anything art, science, cooking and much more. I try to tailor activities much more based on the child's likes rather than my own.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is the fact someone is giving you the honor of being in their little human's tribe, to help raise and guide them into being a successful, kind and good person. It can be very hard to be a nanny. There is so much that goes into it, but having the ability to love and care about these kids while watching them grow, hit every milestone and just develop into themselves is something of its own magick.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had multiple special needs children. I have had a range of children with autism, to asperges, to early diagnosed depression. I have also had a few requiring daily hormone injections and multiple mediciations.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I once had a child tell me they cant wait to be in my wedding, so soon after I can have children and they can be my nanny. This child was one that initially hated me as I had to do sleep training, food therapy, and a lot of behavioral modifications with them. This child is now my little shadow, I visit her often and call her even more. I have never been so proud of a childs progress.
