Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When I’m spending time with kids, I love keeping them engaged with a mix of fun indoor and outdoor activities. Indoors, we might do arts and crafts, read stories with voices, play simple board games or puzzles, have a little dance party, or even do some light baking or snack-making together. For younger kids, dress-up games, obstacle courses with pillows, or quiet stretching and yoga can also be really calming and enjoyable. Outdoors, I like to organize scavenger hunts, blow bubbles, draw with sidewalk chalk, or play classic games like tag and hide-and-seek. If the child has a bike or scooter and it’s safe, we might go for a little ride too. I always try to choose activities based on the child’s age, energy, and interests, making sure they feel safe, included, and happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was with a little boy who, out of nowhere, started calling me “Queen Sofia” for the whole day. He took it very seriously he made me sit on a pillow throne and said his mission was to protect me from “bad guys.” We were just playing with blocks and toys, but in his world, it was a full royal adventure. I couldn’t stop smiling. Moments like that remind me how kids turn the simplest things into something magical. It was sweet, ridiculous, and honestly unforgettable.
