The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the kids feel safe, happy, and truly cared for. I want to be someone they can trust, laugh with, and feel comfortable around—whether we’re playing at the park, doing crafts, or just talking about their day. At the same time, it’s equally important to me that the parents feel confident and at ease knowing their child is in good hands. Building that trust with both the kids and their families is something I take seriously, and I always aim to create a positive, supportive environment where everyone feels respected and valued!

My experience with special needs children includes working at a farmers market where we regularly welcomed children with special needs. I always made sure to treat them with the same kindness and respect as any other child, while also keeping a close and attentive eye to ensure they felt safe, supported, and included.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is from the summers I spent watching kids at my local farmers market. Every year, on the first day back, they’d all run up and give me the biggest hugs—it completely makes my year and reminds me why I love working with kids so much.
