I worked at the YMCA for four years (ages 5-13), I have volunteered for Riverside Educational Center after school, student taught at Redlands Middle school, subbed at a variety of elementary and middle schools in D51, and was a peer mentor and advisor at CMU for two years.

Swimming, coloring, going to the park, arts and crafts, cooking/baking, reading, and I’m open to their whatever their interests are!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I hadn’t had the opportunity to be a nanny yet, but I love working with kids, and look forward to having more one-on-one time. My favorite part about working with kids is being able to nourish that connection and watching them grow as individuals! When they begin to feel safe around you and want to confide in you, but also wanting to tell you every silly story, and whatever else they are thinking about. I love watching kids discover who they are and while trying new things. As they learn how to make a positive impact in the world, and while becoming the best versions of themselves.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve subbed as a SPED teacher multiple times. I’m still new to the SPED world, but have deeply connected with many of these children, and would love the opportunity to work with more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a day at camp where multiple of my kiddos got together outside of camp to plan to prank me by dressing up as me on a Monday (they all had glasses, name tags, they tried to wear pink, etc). I was so surprised and it cracked me up all day!
