Hi! I’m Sommer, I’m 25 years old and a Texas native. I’ve been caring for children since I was 13 years old, mainly babysitting. I have experience with special needs children. I love children and caring for them. I have pretty flexible hours and days I’m willing to work. I am partially disabled, so I would not be able to do any heavy lifting or constant bending at the knees, but I know my limits and would be able to work around them.

I love taking children to parks and zoos, so they can run and play while learning something at the same time.

Is making sure the kid(s) are adequately taken care of and the parents can take some of the additional stress of their shoulders to make everyone happier.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for two special needs children 10 hours a day 6 days a week for a little over a year. One was physically disabled and needed help with basic tasks while the other was mentally disabled needing help and round the clock supervision and care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I first started working as a live in nanny, I joined the amazing family I currently reside with. When I arrived the baby, then 9 months old, wasn’t standing on his own yet. Now just over 2 months later he’s walking and trying to talk. His mom and I got to witness his first steps together.
