I love doing art projects with kids! I started my childcare journey as an art teacher for special needs children and seeing the smiles on their faces during sensory activities with paint, glitter, Pom poms, etc. was no doubt, the best part of my day
My experience with special needs children...
For the last 2 years I was the lead preschool teacher in a development center/daycare. My classroom was over 75% special needs ranging between each end of the spectrum and I am forever grateful for the experiences I’ve made in that classroom and the life skills it has granted me. I also recently started working for EC Cares as a specialist for extra needs children including psychological and medical care
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment was this past Thanksgiving, I was in my preschool class doing a “what I’m thankful for…” activity. Most children were thankful for mommy, daddy, their puppy, but two of my students made their entire project about being thankful for me, Miss Sophia. I held it together then immediately cried happy tears the whole way home
