Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been taking care of the same Child since October of 2025. She was just 2 months when I started watching her and now she’s a little over a year old! It has been an incredibly rewarding journey getting to watch her grow week by week. Witnessing every mile stone and seeing her brain develop has been an honor to watch and help with. Even when her routine shifts I still know all of her signals and habits very well, making things a bit easier when going through phases like teething. Now that she’s older we have the best giggle parties, play with toys, sing songs, and learn new things from books and me teaching them!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to keep kids off screens and exercise their brain and creativity by playing puzzles, coloring, or make believe, to work their imagination. I’m a very outdoorsy person so spending time outside by going to parks, using chalk, playing sports, or going on walks/bike rides are some activities I enjoy doing with children. When it’s time to wind down I’m a great storyteller and love to read books!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is having patience and truly understanding who this little being you’re taking care of is. Seeing their patterns and reactions is so important in order to understand them. One of the biggest things though is trust! I do whatever I can to make me and the child’s relationship special so they don’t feel afraid and think of me as a friend, while still understanding that I enforce their rules.
My experience with special needs children...
I have dealt with multiple children that have autism, adhd, and behavioral issues and I have found that every experience is new and different. I’ve always had a great experience and love learning about special needs and how it affects the child but most importantly how to maturely and kindly navigate their struggles. It’s always important to be patient and understand how the child is feeling in order to connect with them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments nannying is watching children become more independent and grow into their own personality. Watching their trials and fails up until the day of success is so exhilarating and just warms my heart to see these little humans navigate such a big world and to see the smiles on their faces from being proud of themselves is just the cherry on top!
