I've done Volunteer work with special needs children on several occasions and have baby sat for at least 3 months for 3 children, ages 6, 10, and 12
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to color, or draw with kids, being active with kids. I honestly enjoy doing anything when it comes to kids. I think teaching kids how to cook sounds fun and maybe turn cleaning into a game. But whether I'm playing tag, nurf guns, hide and seek, or even dolls, I'm having fun with kids regardless. I enjoy spending time with kids and getting to know them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Patience and genuinely caring about the children is the most important thing about being a nanny. Along with protecting them.
My experience with special needs children...
It's hard for me to say. When I volunteered for special olympics-- Which is sports for special needs children, its sort of like their own little olympics. I would mostly escort them to their sport at the designated time, and during free time take them to face painting or whatever else they wanted. They weren't difficult at all. The children I escorted weren't severely disabled mentally or physically.

The most important part about being a nanny...
This little girl I was watching has given me flowers on multiple occasions. She's the sweetest thing ever with the cutest smile and loads of energy. Another time we were at the park and we went up and down the slide together about 15 times. (She had me count) Sometimes I'd catch her down the slide but most of the time it was me and her. The sight of her laughing and being happy was literally the greatest joy to me.
