A little bit about me

Hello!
I am a 20 year old from Norfolk Virginia.
I am the oldest of 7 children.
My love for childcare started at an extremely young age, as my father was special opps military, and my mother needed all the help she could get. I started learning and loving childcare at two years old, after my first brother was born. From there, I began babysitting at the age of eight, which may seem young, but in my church environment I was quite trusted as someone who knew how to, and LOVED to care for kids. As I got older I moved more in to long term nanny care, and have had many babysitting jobs, and three in home nanny jobs.
In the next year I will be attending college to be able to work with both special needs and special needs foster children.
I look forward daily to show my skills and passion for helping to care for and raise the children of our future!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love outdoors and personal, human caregiving. I do not believe in placing children in front of electronics and leaving them at that. It is my main objective to help children to become self serving, caring, and intelligent individuals

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety and carefulness are my number one priority, I am CPR and first aid certified, along with CNA training.
My second priority is obtaining the most fun and most educational based fun that we can have on a day to day basis. I look to make inside and outside activities both enjoyable and nurturing to the mind.

My experience with special needs children...

Three of my brothers are diagnosed with high functioning autism, and I have spent years learning how to regulate and care for emotions and emotional stims and triggers, as well as working as a CNA with certain individuals who have special needs. I will also be going to school for more education on special needs children.
