When my sister had her first baby while living at home, I became a very hands-on caregiver from day one. I helped care for my niece from newborn through about age three, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I was involved in daily routines like feeding, naps, playtime, soothing, and creating a calm, loving environment — and I genuinely loved every part of it.
Being part of her early development taught me how important patience, consistency, and emotional attunement are with young children. I’m very nurturing by nature and truly enjoy keeping kids company, engaging their imagination, and making them feel safe, seen, and supported.
