hi! my name is Sophie and I have always loved and had a passion for caring for children. from helping out in church nurseries since i was 10 to volunteering as an assistant coach for the YMCA catalinas swimming team, I am always looking for opportunities to help nuture and grow their understanding and wonder of the world around them. personally, my favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, baking, cooking, reading, and finding hole-in-the-wall breakfast spots wherever I go. I could spend hours in a bookstore and even longer in an antique store, especially with a coffee. I love being outside and always prefer that to watching tv or a tablet (although i do know when to reward good behavior). I am able to have a firm hand while still maintaining an environment of fun and safety, and have never had any complaints from the kids, (except when its time for me to go). She uses good judgement and makes good decisions in situations with little guidance. She was able to handle challenges that arose and informed us of any issues or concerns. She has a natural ease with children and is well equipped to care for them and have fun with them. She is competent and thoughtful, and we never had any concern about safety. She is good at getting the kids to nap and she is very calm and patient. She deals with bad behavior well and always had an appropriate reaction and maintains a positive attitude.
