Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I cared for two young girls for an extended period of time, I also was a live in nanny for a young couple in Ireland; their son was 12 months old at the time. My car is a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, four doors, state inspected. I am always open to meeting to interview, to ensure I am the match for your family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking children to the park, engaging in their extracurricular activities, going to museums, any kind of educational or creative activity. Going to the movies, the library, amusement and water parks, as well as children’s entertainment shows. I also love doing creative activities like painting, coloring, reading, or creative writing with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being kind, understanding, organized and adhering to the routine of regular life of the child/children to ensure the comfortability and mental health of the family.

My experience with special needs children...

Though I do not have nanny experience with special needs children, I have a very close friend whom’s nephews have been diagnosed with severe autism and one of the young men is on the spectrum. I have learned quite a bit about Autism. I will continue to research, utilize the knowledge, and apply the practices to daily interactions. I am not intimidated by taking care of a child who sees the world differently than I do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my time as a nanny for a lovely couple in Ireland their son was at an age where he was learning everything, he was a sponge, I remember I was folding laundry with him as he played, he threw down his toys and started to point and cry. I was confused at first but realized he wanted to “play” with my toys! I gave him a pair of socks, he did what I was doing, as best he could, it was so sweet. This moment was proof that children really do follow example, and good habits are learned long before what we think.
