Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For children who are working on their developmental milestones, I love to assist and show compassion as they reach those milestones. For the toddler age group: I feel they learn best through play. Indoor activities, safe outdoor activities. Table top toys to enhance their fine motor skills. Outdoor play to experience nature and have small discussions about our surroundings.
For school aged children, I love activities to show their creative sides. Although I am no artist, I thrive in the educational department. Reading, writing, math, social studies and science. I do believe teaching them to use their abilities beyond what they know, brings me joy. Again, outdoor play is crucial and I love watching children become independent and creators in the outside environment. Riding bikes, playing sports or simply engaging with them brings peace to my heart.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny, is to provide nothing short of the regular care and routine for children. As parents step away to work, children deserve the proper care. They deserve to grow, thrive and have something to take as a memory as they age. Being a nanny is compared to "second mom." It is important to nurture and exceed the expectations of parents.
My experience with special needs children...
As a preschool teacher, I have experience with special needs children. When I noticed my interactions mattered, would stoke the year 2024. I had a student who wasn't to fond of other teachers. As I learned him, his therapy days or simple day to day interactions, I was taken aback by his bus driver. His bus driver had never met me, but knew who I was and that was because of that student. I have not used his name for privacy reasons, however, he is the reason I am going to pursue RBT (registered behavioral technician in 2027)
