A little bit about me

I'm Stacy! I relocated to the Oregon area a couple of months ago, and am now looking for a babysitting/ nanny opportunity to fill my time over the next year while my S/O has accepted a position about 20 minutes south of us. I bring with me with years of experience and have had the opportunity to surround myself some pretty amazing children throughout my journey as a part-time nanny.
I am a classically trained chef (explaining the rolling pin in my profile picture) so meal prep and clean up come naturally as you may imagine. I am taking a break from my culinary career, as I very much enjoy children and want to be a positive impact on their lives. I cannot have children, sadly, so this is a wonderful opportunity for me to fill those motherly duties I miss out on.
I am most happy to set up an interview to see if we may be a fit.
I'd love to know more about your childs likes/ dislikes and what types of activities they enjoy! FYI, I just signed up to take a CPR course.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been a babysitter for years. I have cared for 6 children over the years as a nanny as well and can furnish excellent references.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

From board games to outside adventures. Hide and seek, puzzles, bracelet making to museum outings. As a chef, I have taught my families children how to cook dishes they love! Also, very happy to assist with homework. Depending on the child’s age, we can get very creative. I am not a “in front of the tv” type sitter.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to foster a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment for the children in my care. It involves more than just their basic needs, it encompasses cultivating a deep understanding for each child’s unique personality, their interests, and development. As a nanny, you get to play a crucial role, and there are emotional and intellectual growth. Educational activities over sitting in front of a mindless tv, building a trust-based relationship, and life guidance are all things that matter most to me. Being a nanny is not just a job for me, it’s committing to positively impact your child’s life and development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When we opened a lemonade stand. Teaching children the value of hard work, making a few bucks, and customer service at 8 and 10 years old was worth more than gold! Invaluable life lessons.
