A little bit about me

Hi I'm Stashauna, I'm 29 years old the youngest of 4 siblings and Jamaican by birth. Though i don't have any paid experience with being a nanny, I've been caring for children for about 6 years. My Mom is a professional nanny with over 20 years of experience and i sometimes fill in for her at work when she has to run errands. I went to college for Teaching so i can help with early childhood development and speech for school aged children. I am kind, friendly and cooperative. I adapt well and also follow instructions well. Some of the duties i do with kids include: preparing meals and cleaning up afterwards, making school lunches, doing kids laundry and putting them away, cleaning and organising kids room, help with homework, taking them for walks and playing with them, bath and getting kids dressed. I'm willing to do whatever the family requires for their child. I look forward to being the best nanny to your kids.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I went to college for teaching and i often went into schools for practice teaching so i have some experience in teaching ages 4-10yrs children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing cards with kids inside, I often get cards with different fruits or animals on them and let the kids guess the fruit/animal. It's a fun learning exercise i enjoy doing with kids. For outdoor activities, i like taking kids to the park and and playing with them on the swings. I also like to play catch and basketball hoops.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important job as a nanny is making sure the kids are comfortable and happy around me. I feel like my job becomes easier if the kids I'm taking care of feels safe and happy around me, that's why i always try to make my kids happy so i can do my job well and take care of them the best i can.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when i was caring for a 1+ year old boy and he often times called me mama. It was sweet and funny at the same time because he called everyone mama because at the time it was the only word he knew lol.
