More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I work at the Cincinnati Museum Center as a Camp Instructor, working with ages 4-12, so I am always down for a trip to the children's museum! I also worked as a site administrator and team member for the YMCA's after school program at Woodfill Elementary. Finally I worked the Newport Aquarium as a specialist, helping children of all ages learn about animals, and at the Cincinnati Zoo as a face painter.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy helping children learn through play! I specialize in art projects, reading activities, science projects, circle time, and spending time outside!
My experience with special needs children...
I have a brother who is on the Autism spectrum. Growing up, I've learned to assist and learn from people with special needs through attending events and programs that include people with special needs. Also, I've worked with children with special needs in the summer camp and aftercare settings, using patience, empathy, and open communication with parents to facilitate a nurturing environment for children.
