I have cared for special needs children at Easter seals, I have babysat my cousins many times since they were born(they are now 5 and 9), my niece and nephew since birth(they are 1 and 2) and I have taken care of newborn twins multiple times.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy cooking, baking, playing sports, make believe, building forts, painting/coloring or if with very young(babies) I am okay with just feeding and changing them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Knowing how to handle melt downs. I think if you react with just as much emotion as them then it makes it worse, but if you just laugh it off or try to distract them then usually they will laugh or forget it way quicker.
