Some things to keep in mind before hiring me: I come with a beautiful 6 year old daughter and a young potty trained cat who has the behavior of a well-behaved dog. We have a lot of energy mostly, but do enjoy cuddling up to enjoy a movie and snacks sometimes.
As for me, I am a musician. I am a vocalist, lyricist, actress and pianist, and I dabble in art, so if your kids enjoy crafts or singing/dancing we could do plenty!
I can cook well, I enjoy cleaning and organizing, and I am also adept at clerical responsibilities if you have a workload you’d be comfortable sharing. I’m very flexible and thrive in almost any environment, although I am more experienced in organized chaos!
I also don’t smoke or drink at all, but I don’t mind being around it. I already have enough energy as it is, I don’t need to be wobbly! 😂

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an assistant teacher at a preschool. We took care of 14 children ages 3-4 from 8am-5pm, and then I would clean the classroom after the lead teacher would leave. During the day, her responsibilities entailed her needing to leave the room frequently for staff meetings or trips to the storage room, so I would be on my own for a portion of the time.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I can be quite creative in keeping children engaged! Any arts or crafts to be done indoors would be discussed with you before the possibility of mentioning it to the children. We could sing and dance to age appropriate themed music, we can write a small play and practice and perform it. I can bring my keyboard also if you’d like! Outdoor activities are endless. I love being in nature! We could collect rocks to paint and leave places, that’s always fun. I’m comfortable watching kids in the pool as long as it’s not too deep, depending on the ages or how many kids. The possibilities are endless!

My experience with special needs children...

While I was a preschool teacher, we had a child in my class that I was assigned to because he was in need of a little bit more one on one time. Although some days I needed assistance in the beginning, we got along very well and he tended to come to me frequently when he had hard emotions because he knew he could count on me to calm him down. My techniques range from soothing to a quick funny distraction. Sometimes all we need is a little laugh to bring us all to perspective, right?
