A little bit about me

I LOVE children, largely due to their ability (with caring caretakers), to make us be present to every moment! I have worked with them in some capacity since jr. high: babysitting, teaching all ages (98% kids) piano lessons for 40 years, 3 children of my own, and now 4 grand kiddos. I feel I have a pretty good sense of how they operate. I'm focused on THEIR learning what they're interested in, & as I watch and engage WITH them, work to expand those interests.
I also LOVE Nature and Art, so, spend a lot of time outdoors exploring - from close up to varying angles & distances.
I seem to have a personality that attracts children to me (if I do say so myself), and have never had any problems for lack of patience, time or attention to them. They get 100% of me when I'm with them.
I don't own a television, and hence would never use one as a 'babysitter', and I'm an avid reader, so the library is my friend and often a go-to for the children and myself if it's within range.
I'm dependable, on time, and generally go beyond what's asked of me if I can see it will be of help. Last of all, I'm playful and full of energy, and love to let them know it!
I also was a childcare teacher in a NAEYC hospital childcare center in WI for 5 years, working mostly with newborns to 3 year olds.
