I love teaching and watching children grow. I enjoy being hands-on with them. I enjoy exploring with children; whether it be going outside, experimenting with science or teaching new things. I am knowledgeable about age appropriate milestones, abilities & play interaction. If I don't know something I will ask or find out the information. I prefer to communicate with the parents on a daily basis. I try to deflect/or ignore negative behavior, offer a choice, redirect attention or use a time out chair, with explanations of what they are feeling, after time is up.

My experience with special needs children...
I have special needs experience: Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Non verbal, speech delay, wheelchair bound, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Diabetes, Cerebral Palsy & more.
I have raised 2 sons with ADHD. One son had Asperger's, also. I haved watched many children over the years with Special Needs.
